Zila Tech, in partnership with Intel, is thrilled to announce the official call for applications for the AI Changemakers Kenya 2026 competition. This is your exclusive opportunity to showcase your tech skills, build solutions that matter, and represent Kenya on the global stage as part of the Intel® AI Global Impact Festival.
About the Competition
We are looking for bright, young minds who are leveraging AI to make a positive impact in their communities. Whether you are working independently or with a team, this competition is designed to celebrate student-led innovation and provide a platform for the next generation of tech leaders.
The Global Prize: The stakes are high! The top 3 projects will be selected to represent Kenya globally. Top global winners will receive exclusive prizes and official certificates directly from Intel.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Open to K-12 students between 13 years old.
- Team Size: You can enter as an individual or form a project team of up to 3 students.
- Status: All submissions must come from active students in an educational institution.
Entry Guidelines & How to Submit
To enter the competition, students must complete the submission entry form and provide the following:
- Project Title: A short, catchy name for your solution (maximum 10 words).
- Project Description: A brief overview of your project and the real-world problem it solves (maximum 150 words).
- Video Pitch: A 2-minute video or vlog demonstrating your solution.
- Format: MP4, WMV, FLV, or AVI (Maximum file size: 60 MB).
- Camera Rules: A portion of the video must feature the project team speaking directly to the camera. AI-generated voiceovers are not allowed; you must use your own voice.
- Language: If the video is not in English, English subtitles must be included.
- (Note: Penalties will apply for videos longer than 2 minutes or if the team does not speak directly to the camera).
- Consent Forms: Complete, sign, and upload the required consent forms.
