On Saturday June 20, 2026, the Brookhouse School Karen Campus transformed into a hub of innovation. Zila Tech, in proud partnership with industry leaders Intel, Acer and Google for Education, hosted the highly anticipated AI in Education Summit.
We welcomed over 150 visionary educators, school leaders, and tech advocates from across Kenya. United by a shared mission, these delegates came together to explore how Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally altering the global academic landscape, and how local schools can lead the charge.
Key Highlights from the Summit
- Strategic AI Leadership: We moved beyond the buzzwords. Industry experts led deep-dive roundtable discussions and panels on AI governance, policy, and practical classroom integration, giving schools a clear blueprint for their digital roadmaps.
- Empowering Student Innovators: A major milestone of the event was the official launch of the AI Changemakers Kenya 2026, an Intel Global K-12 AI Innovation Challenge. This initiative invites students aged 13 – 17 to solve real-world problems using AI, with the top three projects advancing to represent Kenya on the global stage.
- Scaling with ChromeOS: To make these smart classrooms a reality, Zila Tech unlocked exclusive ecosystem offers on robust devices like the Acer Chromebook Plus 514. We demonstrated exactly how schools can equip their students and staff with the hardware and cloud infrastructure needed to power next-generation learning.
